Doctors Without Borders will receive 45 euros from the Edenred group

This year too, Edenred employees all over the world participated in an activity called Edenraid. It is a challenge to move - walk, cycle or run, where every kilometer means a certain amount that will help to help the multinational organization Doctors Without Borders.

From September to November, within the Edenred group, almost 6 participants from 200 countries took part in the charity challenge, who counted the steps taken or the kilometers run and cycled in the application. Together we covered an incredible 45 kilometers. It is a new record for this activity! To give you a better idea, we basically circled the globe along the equator 2 times.

The most popular physical activity of our colleagues is walking - this method of movement was chosen by up to 58,5 percent of the employees involved. We also have enthusiastic cyclists in the group and 22 percent of them joined Edenraid. 11,4 percent of "Edenreids" chose fast walking, and 8,1 percent ran as part of the Edenraid event.

Edenred and Doctors Without Borders

The eighth year of the Edenraid event brought not only new challenges and new friendships, but also 45 euros, which the Edenred group donates to the charity organization Doctors Without Borders. It is the largest independent and non-profit medical humanitarian organization in the world, which has been saving lives across the planet for more than 50 years.

"The Edenred Group feels responsible not only for its employees and partners, but also for the state of our planet. That's why we come up with activities that help improve the lives of as many people as possible and combine the meaningful with the useful." said Lívia Bachratá, Director of Public Affairs at Edenred.

Slovakia in the lead

The Slovaks did not deny their sportsmanship even this year. It is Edenred Slovakia, together with Singapore, Poland, the USA and Taiwan, that make up the top five, whose participants covered the most kilometers. Specifically, each involved Edenred Slovak traveled a respectable 668 km.

"We are proud that the Edenred Group organizes events that give meaning to every participant. It supports our employees and colleagues in movement and a healthy lifestyle so that we, as a group, can also help on a global level. Doctors Without Borders are doing amazing work and they definitely deserve support and help not only from state authorities, but also from communities," added L. Bachratá.

All Edenred employees from Slovakia participated in this volunteer activity. 100 percent participation was also in Japan, Taiwan, Bulgaria, Austria, Poland, Venezuela, Portugal and the United Arab Emirates.

"We have seen for ourselves that every step has meaning and every step counts. Solidarity should have an important place in our private and working lives, because none of us knows when we will need someone else's help. We are already looking forward to the next year of this Edenred challenge," concluded L. Bachratá.
