For us at Edenred, corporate social responsibility is not a one-time activity or a mandatory point in strategic documents. It is a long-term commitment that is reflected in daily decisions, corporate culture and concrete actions. In 2025, we continued to implement the Edenred Group's global CSR strategy, which is based on three solid pillars - Ideal People, Ideal Planet and Ideal Progress.
In Slovakia, we translate these pillars into activities that have a real impact: helping people in need, promoting a healthy lifestyle, fighting food waste, and at the same time strengthening trust, transparency, and ethical business.
"For us, CSR is not about nice words, but about concrete steps and measurable results. We want our activities to make sense to employees, partners and the wider society," said Lívia Bachratá, Director of Public Affairs at Edenred.
Ideal People: Help with a concrete impact
Responsible business makes sense when it improves the quality of life of people - not only employees, but also those who find themselves in difficult life situations.
In 2025, Edenred employees also participated in activities as part of Ideal Day – a day when we do not work in the office, but engage in volunteering challenges aimed at improving the lives of various communities. The joint outdoor activity was an opportunity to combine practical skills with the realization that no one is an island unto themselves. We see volunteering as a natural way to connect people, strengthen empathy and build a company culture based on values.
A strong moment of solidarity was also the traditional cooperation with the initiative How Much Happiness Fits in a Shoebox, in which we prepared packages for seniors. Small gifts, practical little things and personal attention once again confirmed that help does not have to be big to have a big impact.
In 2025, we expanded our assistance to families and children in need through a material collection carried out in cooperation with Slovak Catholic Charity. We focused on everyday items that have an immediate and real impact on the quality of life of those who need them.
"For us, CSR is not about one-off gestures, but about a long-term effort to respond to the needs of society where it makes sense," says Lívia Bachratá.
Ideal Planet: Sustainable Decisions
Responsibility towards people naturally complements responsibility towards the planet. This is why Edenred has long been dedicated to the topics of sustainability, reducing its environmental footprint and supporting solutions that change consumer behavior.
In 2025, we continued our collaboration with the food waste-fighting app MUNCH. Thanks to this partnership, users have the opportunity to save quality food from catering establishments while contributing to more responsible resource management. The collaboration with MUNCH naturally fits into our long-term efforts to support sustainable eating and fair access to food.
In our opinion, such solutions prove that modern technologies and responsible business can go hand in hand and bring concrete benefits to society and the environment.
Ideal Progress: Movement and Confidence
The third pillar of Edenred's CSR strategy – Ideal Progress – is focused on well-being. In practice, this means supporting a healthy lifestyle, providing safe and transparent services, and creating an environment in which people feel good.
At the same time, we continued our activities within the international FOOD project, which aims to educate about healthy and sustainable eating. The topic was naturally linked to internal activities for employees and communication to the public, including a reminder of the importance of World Food Day.
An important part of the well-being support was the Health Days, implemented in cooperation with the FOOD project ambassador Veronika Hanáková. Practical tips, discussions on diet, exercise and work-life balance showed that even small changes can have a big impact.
Movement and aid have once again been linked within the global challenge Edenraid 2025, where every kilometer walked, run and cycled out of the planned goal of 2,500,000 km was converted into a financial contribution worth 45,000 euros for charity. Specifically for the ShareTheMeal application, a platform of the World Food Programme that helps provide food for people in need. Edenraid confirmed that physical activity can be not only a path to better health, but also to support those who cannot do without help.
Responsibility as part of Edenred identity
CSR activities at Edenred Slovakia are not isolated projects. They are part of a broader vision in which business has a positive impact on people, society and the planet.
"We believe that responsible companies have the power to change the environment around them for the better. That is why we will continue and further develop the activities within the IDEAL strategy," concludes L. Bachratá.
