Will card replace vouchers?

Aneta Dočekalová-Parišková, moderator of TV JOJ: "In last months meal cards have appeared in the market and soon they can completely replace paper vouchers - known as meal vouchers or gastro-tickets. Unlike them, card will be advantageous even in case if it gets lost or stolen."

"You either pay 90 cents more, or you choose something else, too."

Táňa Slivková, redactor of TV JOJ: "Many of us may have encountered such a situation during payments with gastro-tickets. However, meal card could solve the situation. Namely, from the card they deduct the exact amount you have to pay. Because they will not pay you any cash back during payments with vouchers, now you need not bother with those never-ending recalculations."

Public inquiry: "I think that it will be better both for the sellers who sell meals and also for the people."

Public inquiry: "I do not have to count how much money I have to add to payment, what else do I have to buy - I buy only what I need."

Natália Hercegová, meal cards seller: "The company does not have to recount vouchers, does not have to store them, does not have concerns with their deliveries and does not have to pay for the delivery service."

Public inquiry: "I think that if it should make work easier or better, so it should be done in an advantageous way."

On the phone is Petra Matejbusová, meal cards seller: "The price for issuance of a new card is 9.90 EUR per year."

Táňa Slivková, redactor of TV JOJ: "At another seller the employer pays a one-shot amount which depends on the number of ordered cards."

Natália Hercegová, meal cards seller: "The price is between 1.70 EUR to 2.50 EUR and after you just simply load the cards."

Táňa Slivková, redactor of TV JOJ: "And this can be done through a form. You can check its financial balance on the internet. It can be checked through the info-lines of the company, too. The card is more advantageous in comparison with meal vouchers even in case it gets lost or stolen. Namely, you can block the PIN code protected card - unlike meal vouchers. The card does not involve usage of any special terminals either."

Natália Hercegová, meal cards seller: "Classical POS terminals or payment terminals offered by Slovak banks are used for them."

Táňa Slivková, redactor of TV JOJ: "However, there is one drawback in usage of meal cards. You can pay with it only in selected stores labeled with a sticker. You can identify them according to the noticeable sticker, or you can rather inquire about the payment option directly in the store.
